Do you know about the Blue Mountains history?
Australia is one of the world’s oldest continents and thus is much flatter than the newer Asian or South American continents. Australia’s Grand Canyon or Jamison valley get its name from its similarity to the American Grand Canyon. The major difference between the Australian one is the huge amount of fertility in ours. Instead of vast barren land, Australian canyon is teeming with life and trees. It is thick with trees and makes for spectacular viewing. It is little wonder tourists come from all over the world to take in this stunning Valley. Hear the calls from the bottom of the valley from the Lyre birds and smell the eucalyptus trees which give this valley such a beautiful aroma.
Why are the Blue Mountains Blue
We also find a stunning blue haze arising from the valley on warmer days. This is because of the trees releasing their vapors and then the sun rays forming a stunning optical illusion during the blue mountain tour. It is for this reason that the Blue Mountains are known as the “Blue” Mountains.
